Each Old Elk Cigar Cut represents the best of the best from our award-winning cask finish project. The Cigar Cut Island Blend features a novel blend of Old Elk’s base whiskeys, including high-malt straight bourbon whiskey, straight wheat whiskey and straight rye whiskey - each of which if brought forward with distinct finishes from Port, Sherry, Sauternes and Rum barrels. The final taste profile is lighter in style, a touch tropical, and transports us to our favorite summer gateway. Excellent paired with your favorite cigar, or standalone as your new favorite nightcap.
This, our second release of Old Elk Cigar Cut, was crafted by our desire to extend summer as long as possible. A journey from the mountains to the Islands, this pour is a one-way ticket to tropical warm weather.
Old Elk Cigar Cut Island Blend consists of 6 Year Old Old Elk high-malt bourbon finished in sherry and port casks, 6-year-old Old Elk rye finished in rum casks, and 6-year-old Old Elk wheat finished in sauternes casks.
